On Thursday night, December 31, 2020 at about 11:10 p.m., Gatineau Police Service (SPVG) raided a home after a neighbor called to complain that six people had gathered together in the home, a violation of lockdown rules.

One of the people in the home, located in Gatineau, a city in western Quebec, captured a video (below) that shows one person being pulled out of the house, forced to the ground with his face on the snow and asphalt, and arrested. The police then force the door closed to prevent the family from seeing what is happening outside.

According to Le Journal De Montreal, Lieutenant Éric Simard of the SPVG said that each person was given a citation of $ 1,546. Regarding the man arrested, “He was released, but the file was submitted to the DPCP [director of criminal and penal prosecutions], who could lay charges,” said Simard.

NOTE: Notice the police officers with no masks breathing directly into the face of the man they are arresting, which is legal, but the people sitting together peacefully in the home is a crime.
